Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Milan Project: Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, 2015. The project included the renovation of three historic buildings to offer a glimpse of that particular hidden and more private Milan, providing guests with an experience of Milanese style in a hotel that is elegant and intimate, but also inspired by the visual richness so typical of the brand. The neutral and rigorous design of the architects pairs with highly decorative colors and materials, accentuating the charm and historic value of the place. Assignment: EI DB room entrance doors....

Excelsior Hotel Gallia

Excelsior Hotel Gallia, Milan. Project: Studio Marco Piva, 2015. Hotel Gallia is one of the most prestigious hotels in Milan, dating from 1932. It consists of two buildings, the historic and completely renovated building and a new wing with a steel and glass façade. The interiors and furnishings are a mix of design and art deco. The Design Suites, dedicated to leading Milanese figures in the world of design and architecture - Vico Magistretti, Achille Castiglioni, Gio Ponti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Franco Albini - are decorated with some of their iconic products. Assignment: Room entrance doors (leather clad rei 60 with metal inserts), integrated sliding doors, cladding, paneling and boiserie for room interiors.

Bulgari Hotel

Bulgari Hotel, Milan. Project: Antonio Citterio, 2003. Located in the heart of Milan in a building made up of three parts, the oldest of which dating back to 1700, this hotel exhibits a classical-modern style of architecture. It represents contemporary luxury with a mix of rare and refined materials of the highest quality - a perfect harmony of form with exquisite woods, marble, mosaic, granite and reflective surfaces. The exclusive amenities of a special hotel turn even a business trip into an experience of total comfort. Assignment: all the room doors. The bathroom doors are made with stainless steel and side panels, while the room entrance doors have side panels that integrate perfectly with the decor....

City Life Penthouse 111

CityLife, Penthouse One 11, Milan, 2014. CityLife is the project for the redevelopment of the historic city site of the Milan exhibition grounds and is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe. Designed by Zaha Hadid, Arata Isozaki and Daniel Libeskind, it will provide a second "green lung" for the city of Milan. Sustainability, quality of life and services are the key words of the project and its residences, including Penthouse One 11, an elegant two-level penthouse designed starting from the basic principles for a high-quality lifestyle. Assignment: provision of doors and boiserie for the whole apartment, with a highly-customized Wall&Door lending homogeneity and continuity to the various spaces.

Expo Gate

Expo Info Point, Piazza Castello, Milan. Project: Scandurra Studio. Chosen from 25 projects, Expo Info Point functioned as an initial, city-based presentation of the 2015 World Fair. A square within a square, a dynamic and stimulating location, an aesthetic of lightweight forms with a low environmental impact in a challenging historical context with the Castello Sforzesco forming the backdrop. Assignment: pocket doors perfectly integrated into the walls (e.g. Rasomuro55, Compass and sliding), realized in large dimensions and clad in white steel plate like the walls.

Il Sole 24 Ore

Office complex for the business newspaper "Il Sole 24 ore", Milan. Project: Renzo Piano Building Workshop, 2004. Lightness and transparency are the visual qualities of the all-glass building enveloped in greenery. It appears like a transparent surface with a roofing structure that by day appears suspended and by night as a bright and suffused volume. All the floors of the full-height atrium look out over the garden featuring an undulating and verdant hill that is also visible from the street. Assignment: doors and wall system for the bathrooms.

Regione Lombardia

New headquarters of the Lombardy Regional Council, Milan. Project: Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, Caputo Partnership, Sistema Duemila. The complex forms part of the Garibaldi-Repubblica area where buildings and infrastructure are undergoing radical transformation. The construction consists of four blocks of a height of 38 meters, topped by a 160-meter high tower. The large covered square is the true heart of the entire complex, enjoyed by multifarious institutions, citizens and local residents alike. Assignment: paneling, cladding, boiserie and furnishing for the bureau offices; Rasomuro doors in the common areas of the building....
